Hidden jewel
I have been staying here for 30+ years. What started out as a slightly upgraded travelers' hotel has been steadily improved, upgraded, and expanded. Now it has a full spa and gourmet meals, but the appeal for me is its stunning location, wonderful little Alpine town, ambiance, and the proximity to a lot of hiking trails. No matter what level of hiking/walking you want to do, anything from a vigorous climb for the top conditioned athlete, to the mildly strenuous, to the very leisurely stroll....you can find it all here. If you starte out young and energetic, but you grow older and less ambitious like I have, you can just find your own comfort level here. You won't forget the memories of your times hiking in the Alps from here.
You won't believe the peace and serenety, and I don't think the beauty of nature can be appreciated better than here at the Waldhotel.
Unique Quality: Now it has a great pool and full spa, several dining options, bikes to use for free, superb views of the mountains completely surrounding you here.
