in the very centre & at the river Aare
Best Western Hotel Freienhof is in the very centre of Thun, situated at the main road from the train-station to the castle and some of the rooms are facing the lovely river Aare. In summer you may sit at the terrace of their restaurant, directely at the boulevard along the river. This modern 4-star-hotel was built inside an old house with traditional swiss architecture - take a look at this lovely clock-tower on top of the building ! This building dates back to the year 1308 and is the oldest restaurant of Thun !
