Isn't Swiss Currency Pretty?
by mydreamquest
I can understand why the Swiss opted not to use the Euro. The Swiss Franc is so pretty, it's hard to spend sometime. This was taken from an ATM machine in the resort town of Chur located in the Swiss Alps. The Currency and the beauty of Chur, how the mountains surround the city like a chorus.
guild signs
by globetrott
Watch out for the "Guild signs" as you will see a lot of quite interesting such signs all over the old city of Chur. These signs date back to the time, when most of the ordinary people could not read and so the shops showed their goods in the guild-sign and the customers knew where to go in order to do their shopping !

Rätisches Museum
This museum was built inside a former baroque Palazzo, built in 1675 by Freiherr Paul von Buol zu Strassberg und Rietberg (1634–1697). I did not have enough time to go inside the museum, but will do that next time. This time I just took some photographs of the great building from outside.

Davos not far from Chur.
by dabidc
I decided against going to Davos to stay overnight since the weather was far from good for hiking, since I had a rail pass I spent some time travelling by train to places near by, including Davos. I walked along the main street and back, had a meal and returned to Chur.
