Dischmatal in Winter
Davos is the second largest community of Switzerland and is situated in the Grissons canton - some 2.5 hours from Zurich. It is composed of the areas Platz, Dorf, Frauenkirch, Glaris and Monstein. As the largest mountain sports resort and conference centre in the Alps its a popular place in both winter and summer for ski-ing and hiking. Its also the highest town in Europe (1560 - 2844 m above sea level, 5100 - 9300 feet).
