Start your outdoor activities here.

With other mountain and rocks lovers we agreed to meet at Sporthotel, which looked well named and which had also a meeting room, with a projector and screen, and internet facilities, where we could discuss about our observations and plan our hikes to summits and passes, with long discussions lasting late at night with lost of beers.
Swiss hospitality, of course, with competent, helpful staff, clean big rooms, and all “normal” facilities for a 3 stars.
The “common areas” (lobby, wide staircases, restaurant. . ) are nicely decorated with old “mountain artefacts (slides, vintage skis, . . . . ), but not too much, just what is needed, it does not look like a Disneyland Dwarves house, like many Swiss resort hotels, if you get what I mean. . . .
Breakfast: Müssli, of course, bat also plenty of other dishes, from ham and fried eggs to croissants, etc. . . exactly fitting to what a walker needs!
Best to me was the little bar left, next to the entrance where the waitresses, after the second day began to know us and were very attentive to our beer needs, after a hiking/working day. . . .
No great views fro my room (ask for rooms on the street side, where the view is open), but passing the door every morning, with the view, and the snowflake in the window above the door (picture 1) is a really encouraging view. There is a terrace on the other side of the main streets, where you can enjoy a drink whilst looking at the mountains (picture 2)
