 | Saint Moritz Reviews | Tips 1 - 10 of 12 | | I stayed in this 3star hotel in the mid 1990s for a week in summer. They had a special deal offered in June, including some activities like horse-drawn carriage ride, wine and whiskey tasting, a funicular ride up to Muottas Muragl etc. - incl. breakfast and dinner approx. 1000 Sfr. for the week. The hotel still has old-world charm, the staff is very friendly, the food very good (4-course dinner with choices). From the room (and the dining room) I had gorgeous views of the lake, St. Moritz and the mountains - that alone was worth the money. I also liked the ambience in the hotel very much. It has a good size, not too big, not too small. It is family run by an enthusiastic whiskey, wine and cigarrs connoisseur.
The views! Spectacular the sunsets, the views of the mountains and the lake. And while St. Moritz is a rather ugly town by day it is fascinating by night. Another advantage is the central location, only a few steps from the railway station and bus stop, excellent for excursions like Glacier Express or Bernina Express. Leave a Comment

I have stayed in the "Da La Posta" apartments a couple of times. The building is centrally located in Silvaplana. I always booked through Interhome, a Swiss agency (www.interhome.ch). They offer apartments from 1 to 4 rooms plus bathroom and small kitchen, most with balcony. The 1-room apartments are quite small (two beds) - see pictures. I found them to be exactly right for one or two persons, if you prefer to have a bit more space book a 2-room apartment (bedroom and living room, where a 3rd person can sleep on the couch). The apartments to the street side provide fantastic views of the mountains - you can even see the skiing area of Piz Corvatsch - but tend to be a bit noisy. Those to the back side are really quiet and you have views of the garden, some other (nice) apartment houses and (less beautiful) mountain scenery. The apartments are equipped with SAT-TV, radio, telephone etc. Prices vary considerably: the 1-room apartments were approx. 270 Euro in low season, but you can be charged more than twice as much in high season. Good to know that you can get last-minute deals for bookings of less than one week ahead - availability can be the problem :-) Costs like taxes, parking garage, final cleaning are included!
What I particularly like is that you are in a very central location: bank/ATM and grocery right across the street, some restaurants with a few 100 metres distance, bakery 5 minutes walking away, (free) shuttle bus to Piz Corvatsch right across the street, regional buses/post office 3 minutes walk away. St. Moritz and the glitzy nightlife is only 12 km away and a night bus runs till 2 am. Another advantage is that you have that small kitchen where you can prepare meals on your own - saves a lot of costs. A good idea is that there is a sort of reception which is manned a couple of hours in the morning and evening. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Leave a Comment

We stayed two nights in this family run hotel in St Moritz-Bad. The room was small but clean and fitted with a TV and a minibar. Enough to give you a night's rest. The breakfast was a buffet type, with lovely types of bread, and assorted jams, cheeses and cold cuts. Leave a Comment

Sorry to inform everybody, that the Posthotel in St. Moritz is not existing anylonger. There are now appartements to let or to buy. The architecture is done by Sir Norman Foster. Leave a Comment Theme: HotelAddress: Via dal Vout 3, St. Moritz, GR, 7500, CH

WE had a lovely stay here. The place was lovely and comfortable, clean and friendly. It was pretty central as well, which is always good, even though it's a small place anyhow.
Vey homely feeling.
