Hotel Mr. Pickwick

Great views and location, a little loud though

We got a reservation here from the tourist info center the day we arrived. It was relatively cheap - about $110 per night for a room with two twin beds.

It has a fabulous location - right on the main pedestrian part of town, on the river, walking distance to everything. It had a great view, we could see the Kapelle brucke from the window.

The entrance is a bit odd, you can enter through the pub downstairs, and check in. There's also a private entrance around back. Didn't see much of the staff but they seemed nice enough. And they spoke English.

The room was pretty basic - 2 beds, desk, bathroom. Nothing special, but it was perfectly clean and in good shape.

Our room was on the second floor, so directly above the pub. It was loud. If you go to bed early and/or are a light sleeper, get a higher room or a different hotel.

Unique Quality: - Great views from the front!! Overlooks the river and kapellebrucke.
- Great location!

Since it's in the pedestrian zone, there's no parking nearby. If you can't walk far, think twice about this hotel. If you can walk ok, and have a car, parking is a challenge, but doable. I read on their information that they have an agreement to park at a nearby hotel, but we just parked on the street across town.
