Jailhotel Lowengraben, Lucerne, Switzerland - Reviews and Hotel Information

Upon arriving, we did not have a place to stay, so hit the information booths to try to find an economic yet comfortable place to stay. The place that we wound up staying at was called the Lowengraben Jail Hotel. The hotel was formerly a prison until 1998 and then cleaned up to become a hotel. There's a trendy bar on the ground floor, and the cells are upstairs. Completely bare, just like the days of old, the rooms have bunk beds, locked doors and grills over the windows.
