See the city from the top.
St. Gallen is in a valley...on top of one hill you'll see the university at the other top, there are three little lakes, where people go walk, talk, date, swim (even in summer it's sooo cold!), study, read...etc...to get there you should go by foot, 'cause you'll see many pretty things. Just remember: it's a long way up. They are caled : Drei Weiern (so, if you go to St. Gallen, you can ask for it and most people will know how to help you)
St. Gallen church
This church is noticeable as it's near the roundabout, if my memory serves me right.
It looks ancient and charming, but from where I was standing it's difficult taking a nice pic 'cos it's against the sunlight, & hmmm... I ain't no professional photographer
The bay-windows of Sankt-Gallen
Once an expression of wealth, thus numerous cloth merchants decorated the facades of their houses with them: the ornemental bay-windows in Sankt-Gallen's city center. 111 of these oriels have been preserved to this very day, thus giving the narrows streets and alleys of the old town a medieval flavor.
On the picture, you can see a great exemple of those bay-windows. This one is call « Zum Camel » and was originally built in 1720. You can find this one at n. 19 - 22 Spisergasse.
