General information

When it comes to shopping in the smaller stores does anyone remember if they take M/C? Stores like Coop is what I am referring too. I hear that is the place to buy smaller purchases to take home like chocolate etc.
Any suggestions on places to visit in Lenzberg???

Both Coop and Migros in Switzerland accept Mastercard. If you have a debitcard with the "Maestro" logo this will be accepted too. There is usually no fee involved.
Coop is the better place if you want known brands, as Migros mostly carries it's own brands. That said, there is nothing wrong with the chocolate the Migros sells.
Places to visit around Lenzburg? Wel, there is Lenzburg itself, which has an old town and a castle. Nearby is Baden. Then you have Zürich, Basel, Bern and Luzern all less than an hour away.

there is a coop store in Zurich.I found Migros to be cheaper.I also found the quality of Migros to be good. They have a brand called budget which is the cheapest variety. In case you need to gift chocolates back home, you could buy this in bulk.
have a good trip,

I've bought chocolate in both Coop and Migros and the prices are much better than in airports and tourist places. I really like Lindt the best. Good luck.

Well I am back and happy to say they took my M/C everywhere and were very happy to do so.
I shopped Migros with CHF
Freitag, and many others with the good old charge card.
Gosh....someone take me back please.

Travel Tips for Zürich
The mountain ranges
by Toyin
Davos Klosters Mountains: A paradise for snow sport fans. The two well known winter – Ski resorts Davos and Klosters consist of 5 mountains forming one big snow sport region. These winter-sport areas are situated between 1124 and 2844 meters above sea level and offer more than 300km of prepared pistes of all grades of difficulty.
Niederdorf
by Erkmen
Niederdorf or the old city is probably the best part of Zurich..
When you visit Zurich do notspend much time at bahnhof street, just pass to the niederdorf street and oberdorf..
Niederdorf is a narrow street which is open for pedestrians, surrounded with old, nice Zurich houses, Many Cafes, Restaurants and shops..
Niederdorf is paralel to Limnat quai, Which is the waterfront of limnat river.. Niederdorf starts from the "Central" square.. Which is just in front to the train station..and ends at Gross muunster, the biggest church of Zurich.. And from there oberdorf street starts..
I have enjoyed a lot walking and touring a long the Niederdorf.. Going deep in to narrow roads.. Drinking in the cafes and window shopping.. And I pitty the time, that I have loosed on bahnhof street..
The heart of Zurich betas at Niederdorf.. So take your time there..
Annual Christmas Market
by barbskie
In the old town= Niederdorfstrasse, Spitalgase, Hrschenplatz and around Rosenhof, a yearly Christmas market is held. There are wide variety of stalls selling local handicrafts(not only christmas stuffs), foods and drinks and many more items. Ask your hotel or the tourist office if you want to join a guided tour
Rowing addict???

If you are a rowing addict and you move to Zürich you can enjoy this beautiful look over Lake Zürich. The lake itself is a bit big, so that training is often in the early morning hours....nothing for me really....... Only for members!
Drinking Fountain for Dogs
by Kathrin_E
Zürich has many fountains that provide free and fresh drinking water. Most of them are meant for humans. This one, however, is meant for dogs.
The Hundebrunnen has been put up in 2005 to recall the 100th anniversary of the Swiss painter Rudolf Koller. He was famous for his pictures of animals. The fountain, actually a much older piece, has been installed at the house in Hirschenplatz in the Niederdorf where the painter used to live.
Its height is perfect for dogs of almost all sizes - hmmm, maybe a Chihuahua will have some problems. The dog owner is needed to turn the tap above and fill fresh water into the bowl.
