Need a haircut?

The variaty of Hair Salon is huge in Zurich. If you expect a good service, you usually have to pay a lot of money for it. I went to Hair Spring for the first time and will now stuck to them. They are just great! Excellent service (drinks, magazines, head massages, and so on), very friendly staff and reasonable prices.

No one should leave Zurich without exploring the sidestreets which cross the River Limmat, listenining to the pipes which carry the sound of the Alps to your ears, visiting the grave of James Joyce, and sitting on as many of the city's benches as possible.
Chocolate, chocolate everywhere!

When I think of Switzerland, I think of mountains, cows with bells, and chocolate! This country is a chocolate lovers paradise. Not only are there numerous speciality chocolate shops to browse and shop in, but pop into any supermarket, food hall, tourist shop etc and you will be confronted by a massive display of tasty Swiss chocolatey goodness.
I have a soft spot for Lindt chocolate, and didn't bore of looking at the large selection on offer. I may have sampled a few varieties you can't seem to buy in the UK, and bought a few blocks home too. We did taste some other brands of Swiss chocolate, but none of them compared to my precious Lindt.
My favourite purchase was a blue Lindt tin with a picture of the Matterhorn on the top, which was filled with chocolate. I bought it at a souvenir shop in Zermatt, expecting that I paid way too much for it. I saw the exact same tin at the Geneva airport on our way home, and it was double the price that I had paid! Lesson for the day - souvenir shops aren't always a rip off.

If your in Zurich during the summer make sure you visit the tourist information and check what outdoor concerts are going on. There are many and they're alot of fun but unfortunately they're easy to miss if you don't actually go and find out when and where!
Uetliberg hike
by wandersite
Take at main station a day ticket "Albis" - or, if you have no halftax ticket, the "Zürich Card" http://www.zuerich.com/zurich/zuerichcard/index.html for CHF 15.
Take the train up to the Uetliberg (900 m), walk up to the top (15 min.) and take a wonderful view over Zurich and the lake. If you like, you can climb for free up to a tower.
Then follow the yellow signs to "Albispass / Felsenegg", an easy path with view right and left down to the valley - and if weather is clear, up to the mountains. You will pass the Restaurant Staffel, the spot Annaburg and Baldern and after 2.10 h you will arrive at Felsenegg station where you can use the cable car (included in the ticket) down to Adliswil. A short walk will bring you to the railsway station Adliswil - Zurich main station.
