Simple and clean, in a quiet location

I made the reservation by phone. The lady who answered me (in English) confirmed it right away, although the hotel was almost full; later, I found out that she is the owner. The reservation was for the least expensive single room, with common shower on same floor. The reception clerk who checked me in was a friendly old man, and the room quite nice. A twin room (although they charged me according to my reservation as a single) on 2nd floor, arriving by a fast elevator. The room was spacious, freshly painted – all the hotel is so, plenty of light and well heated. Inside there was a small TV set with CNN (all other TV stations were German, Italian, or French), no phone in the room. From the central bus station you can take a tram (3-4 stops), and from the tram station there is a 5 minutes of easy walking; if you have no luggage, you can also walk from the central bus station, some 20 minutes walk, and that’s also the walking time to most of Zurich other central tourist attractions. The price includes a simple breakfast, without eggs, cereal or vegetables.

Unique Quality: All and all, fair value for money if you want to stay close to the centre and are happy with a simple hotel - recommended.
