Large modern hotel. Large rooms with good views from higher floors. Very near the train station. Modern furnishings. Disapponted that breakfast was not included with the room rate. Effient, modern hotel but lacking in charm that other Zurich hotel have.
Large modern rooms. Good location close to train station.
It has a central location in the heart of the city on the bank of the river Limmat. It is a perfect starting point for visiting Zurich.
In the health and fitness centre you will find a sauna, steam bath and sundeck as well as a swimming pool, whirlpool and solarium. There is also a very modern gymnasium.
While the Marriott Zurich is perfectly fine, I probably would not stay there again. It's a higher priced hotel without much charm, and the furniture and fixtures are a bit dated. It is what you'd expect for typical business travel. It does have a nice view of the city and is a convenient 10 minute walk from the train station (which is what to take from the airport - cheap and easy!), but is a 15 minute walk from the Bahnhofstrasse with nothing very interesting along the way.
I was lucky to be given an executive room, which was located on the 37th floor. The room was also next to the Executive Lounge, this is an enjoyable facility to use as it offers food and drink from 06.00 - 24.00.
The rooms were comfortable, and the beds were large.
Located close to the city centre, and the higher floors offer rooms with very scenic views. They have an excellent restaurant called Parkview, offering great food and service. I had a mixed salad and veal with rosti.
