Europa: Peaceful spot not far from the seaside
we stumbled on this hotel by a complete chance, after unsuccessful attempts find accommodation in Sokol and Lvivsky Zaliznychnyk, sanatoriums established in the Soviet time, both of which are enjoying the best location in the town - the foothill of the Genoese Fortress.
we were extremely happy to find a modern place, and though a bit more expensive than we initially planned to spend, but with modern facilities, excellent view to the fortress and the sea. the room was equipped with an air conditioner, TV and little fridge. the room has two adjacent beds and the armchair which can be unfold to sleep the third person. the bathroom consists of a shower cabin and a toilet. all is new and very pleasant.
July and August are the most popular and busiest months, therefore the price goes up to $60 per room (breakfast included). my advice would be to stay there in June and September, which are less crowded months and much more pleasant to be around weather-wise. at that time a room for two people would cost you $40.
The beach is just 7-minute walk (you can shortcut through the sanatorium Sokol).
the hotel has an incredible view on the Genoese fortress from one side and to the mountain ranges on the other side.

Hotel Astromarine: Brand new hotel with great crew
It was very hard to find accomodation in Sudak on a late evening of August and we found by luck with little, but brand new, very clean and nice hotel. The people working there were so friendly even if almost no one spoke any word in English, but we promised that next time we'll learn some Russian and they'll learn English! :)
Surely a suggested accomodation in Sudak, at good "western" standards at normal prices.
