Nothing special at all
The first issue I had was re the price. I looked on a price comparison aggregator for hotels in Donetsk. I didn't want to make the booking online from a network I was less than convinced of the security of. I thus rang the hotel directly to make a booking and was quoted 92 dollars in total for 2 nights. I agreed to this as seemed a good deal. This isn't what I was asked to pay when I arrived, indeed the price was higher than what was offered on the comparison site. I made this point with the receptionist who spoke excellent English but I quickly conceded on the account of being exhausted.
Non smoking rooms are on the 8th floor. That could be an issue for some people in that the lifts only go to the 7th floor.
The room is reasonably clean, water in the shower is hot. TV is all in Ukranian or Russian channels, no Western channels. Wifi seems to work fine and is free in all rooms.
Breakfast is from a short menu with 5 different set deals on there all of which were underwhelming none of which appealed to me. I asked for some cereal and some bread. The cereal was a small portion and the bread was a total of 1 small slice cut in 1/2.
Location is central on the main drag.
Unique Quality: Next time I'd try somewhere else. Someone in Donetsk I spoke with made a suggestion of the Art Liverpool Hotel in Donetsk.

Great Location--Great Staff
From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The staff was helpful and friendly. (They put out a small American Flag on the check-in desk when we arrived!) The rooms were spotless and the views of the city were nice. The morning breakfast, which was included with the stay, was nice with a good variety. The Internet room had 2 computers. The elevators were large and fast. The lobby had a money machine and plenty of seating. I would stay at the Hotel Central again--gladly.
Unique Quality: Next door to the Hotel was the Shynok Restaurant. Great Ukrainian food in a fun atmosphere. We enjoyed Donetsk. The spring is beautiful with flowers everywhere.

second best in Donetsk
This hotel was better than I expected. I spent 8 nights here and I really dont have any complaints. The staff were very professional and almost all spoke excellent English. The food in the restaurant was quite good and the waitors were even better. They always made sure you had everything you needed. The room was more than adequate. Nothing fancy but very comfortable. Overall I had a nice time.
