 | Ukraine Reviews | Tips 1 - 10 of 41 | | I stayed at this hotel and found it alright, it was 10 USD per night, in an pretty ugly block but it was clean inside and good enough for me. The staff at the reception spoke broken English and better German. THe hotel is very central just 100m behind the opera house. THat was its super benefit. Hard to find this place. The instructions were clear, but sadly the Metro has no English and the stations seem to have 2 different names. The hostel staff are very friendly and were one of the few Ukrainians who spoke English. The room was clean and pretty quiet, the shared bathroom was ok, but smelled really bad. The location is 10 mins walk from the Metro stop, but not too close to the centre (wherever that may be) Leave a Comment Theme: HostelPrice: US$20-40 » Currency ConverterComparison: least expensiveAddress: www.yha.org

Ok, I should have known better than to stay overnight without reservations somewhere...how was I to know that this old hotel was so awful? The concierge spoke pidgin English at best, the valet wouldn't pick up more than one bag and it was the small one, the "kitchen is closed" at 5 PM when we checked in, no one would point out a restaurant nearby, the bathroom was third-world at best, the bed was ok but there was only one in a "double" room, no coffee service for the a.m., not enough toilet paper (boy, try asking for that where you don't speak the native lingo!), and it was noisy all night with parties or something.
It's in the Ukraine and has a shuttle to the airport Leave a Comment Theme: HotelPrice: US$40-80 » Currency ConverterAddress: 70 Goloseevskaya Street, Kiev, 03040, UAPhone: 00 38 044 520 26 19Directions: I don't know, I was definitely lost!

All Ukrainian hotels are mainly the legacy from Soviet times. Few hotels have been built in the years of independence of Ukraine. Odessai hotel in Odessa dedicated on April 2, 2001 is perhaps one of the very few hotels built in the last ten years in this country. All former Soviet hotels have become joint-stock companies or private and have been restored, rebuilt and equipped with modern appliances, which resulted in putting into service of brand-new floors with suites. You can inquire about the prices at the reception. The prices are about the same as in Western Europe. You will have to pay world prices for a stay at a Ukrainian hotel : starting from $50 and more. Even local national hotel are expensive, too. I would have to pay at least 150 UAH ( $30) for a day's stay at an ordinary Ukrainian hotel in a regional center, that is, one-sixth of my monthly salary.
modern Ukrainian hotels approach the Europaen and world standards, at least in prices.... Leave a Comment Theme: HotelPrice: US$40-80 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: Ukrainian hotelsDirections: In all cities of Ukraine.

Visit the pearl of the Black Sea -- Odessa -- where the bright southern sun, the soft climate and the clear air will remain forever in your memory. The Hotel Victoria is located in one of the most attractive districts of the town and is only 500 m from the beach. I stayed for a month in a pension. Ella, the landlady was so friendly. I had a wonderful room, but the bed was a little hard. She had a friendly dog and a cat. l3$US a day.
I could do my market one street away and cook my own food. There were many families who came for weekends from all over Ukraine and we shared food, had great pleasure visiting castles and parks and spending late nights singing and drinking good massandra wine and of course, their wisky: Votka.
