Filvarok nad hukom: Hidden gem in the Carpathians
This hotel really is a hidden gem. Located in Sheshory village famous for its yearly hutsul festival this hotel is just a short drive away from Kosiv town. The rooms are immaculate, the staff are incredibly friendly and the price is far less than you would expect.
The hotel boasts a location on the river, where you can swim on a hot day should you not want to use the hotel's pool. Breakfast is made to order so you decide when you eat breakfast and what you would like. All the food is sourced from the mountains and don't be surprised if they milk the cow in the morning so you can have milk in your tea or cereal. I would highly recommend the cherry pancakes, they are the most delicious pancakes that I have ever tasted.
The hotel has outdoor seating and our family of 9 would often sit outside and the hotel staff would bring us complimentary home made vodka, pickles and salami.
I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to explore rural Ukraine and the carpathian mountains
Unique Quality: Fantastic views of the carpathians from each angle, the hotel has its own pool, sauna and it's rear yard leads to the local river where you can gain access to swim.
There is a fantastic restaraunt just 5 minutes walk away that has a house band playing traditional Ukrainian music.
The hotel is so tranquil and when you sit outside at night you can hear nothing but the flowing of the river.
Each hotel room has a tv and a balcony.
I have planned to return to this hotel in just a few months time, I just love it.

Nadia hotel: Nadia hotel - a good choice in Ivano-Frankivsk
a few weeks ago I visited ivano-frankivsk.and i stayed at Nadia hotel, because of its central location - close to everything. it is the biggest 3* hotel in this city. it has 2 restaurants - european and national cuisine. breakfast served in european restaurant was compitely satysfactory. rooms are clear and comfortable,wide range of TV programs, staff very friendly and helpful.
price meets quality.
I would strongly recommend you to stay at this hotel.

Hotel Nadia: Nothing to Write Home About
Being the only international-oriented hotel in Ivano Frankivsk, Hotel Nadia has an unfortunately monopoly on the accomodations market in town. Equipped with two seedy bars (especially after dinner), a small gift shop, rooms that contain only the bare essentials, and the obligatory "woman of the night" greeting guest as they come home in the evenings, Hotel Nadia is "OK," but far ... FAR ... from the quality that one comes to expect in Kiev.
Perhaps the only advantage to the Hotel Nadia is its price. At $16/night (depending on exchange rate), you get more than you pay for, but not much more. Additionally, the breakfast (included in rate) was better than I expected, though that is not saying much.
The hotel claims to have an internet bar, though it never seemed to be working during my stay and internet was not available in the rooms.

Ukraina: The most economic option in the centre
A huge Soviet style hotel dominating in the centre. Rooms are offered as "old" and "renovated". The renovated ones are very spacious and clear international 3-star quality, the old ones are a reasonable economic option. Both types are worth the money.
Unique Quality: Since the hotel is far too large for the present and even the future needs of Ivano-Frankivsk large parts of the hotel are used for other purposes, there are several doctors and dentists,a car sales company and other offices not connected with toursim but of course also everything you might expect in terms of services in a big hotel.
The breakfast is a bit strange, they seem to have employed too many waiters instead of setting up a standard breakfast buffet.
