Good Hotel, not worth the money
The poeple that are used to Moscow will find that this hotel is worth every $, but for the others (me included), I don't think a 30sqm room is worth $399 a night, even if the service is good - at least for that price that's the minimum expected, right?
The location is very good (200m from St.Sophia & 500m from independance sq.) although no the best for going out... requires a cab for everything at night.
My advise, don't stay there unless you can afford to pay $750 for a suite...

First international 5* hotel in Kiev
well, i do not stay in hotels in Kiev, but due to my work i know a lot about hotels and hotel business in my country. This is really first high class hotel in Kiev. I am sure you will enjoy high standards of service while staying.
Unique Quality: great view and very convenient placement of the hotel. There is a big chance that you will see both cathedrals - Sofievskiy and Mikhailovskiy - from your window.

Hyatt Regency Kiev
Opening is in the May 2007. Its luxury hotel with state-of-the-art business facilities located in the center of Kiev. Overlooking the breathtaking Old City, which features many of Kiev's main historical sights, this hotel is within walking distance of Saint Sophia's Cathedral, Saint Michael's Monastery and the boutiques of Kreshatyk Street.
Unique Quality: Great location, fitness center, SPA, swimming pool, sauna, asian restaurant with show kitchen, great conference and banquet facilities
