well, i do not stay in hotels in Kiev, but due to my work i know a lot about hotels and hotel business in my country. This is really first high class hotel in Kiev. I am sure you will enjoy high standards of service while staying.
great view and very convenient placement of the hotel. There is a big chance that you will see both cathedrals - Sofievskiy and Mikhailovskiy - from your window.

The poeple that are used to Moscow will find that this hotel is worth every $, but for the others (me included), I don't think a 30sqm room is worth $399 a night, even if the service is good - at least for that price that's the minimum expected, right? The location is very good (200m from St.Sophia & 500m from independance sq.) although no the best for going out... requires a cab for everything at night. My advise, don't stay there unless you can afford to pay $750 for a suite...
