Can anyone tell me roughlyhow much it costs to get fro the airport to Kiev city center?

The situation with taxis in Kiev airport is very weird. Usually, taxi drivers approach you immediately you pass the passport and custom control and once they see you are foreigner, they can charge you up to USD100 for such trip. Normally, it would cost about UAH 180 - UAH 200 which is around USD 25 at the moment. I suggest you to call the taxi company or contact them in advance and ask to meet you personally in the airport. As an alternative,you could get the bus from Kiev airport to the Railway station,around 30 grivna, then get a cheaper taxi at the station to any part of the city centre for a couple of dollars.
As stated the taxi drivers besiege you at the airport and yes you can get caught for lots of money
My daughter today got taxi from train station to airport and it cost 300grivna.
Depending on what part of the city you are visiting you can negotiate the fare for around thirty us or you can go to the taxi stand on the right when you exit the terminal. be prepared to pay in local currency from them. you can exchange some money at the airport but you can get a better rate in the city, there are plenty of places just look for a sign.
