ATMs?

by ulo

I have a VISA card and would like to use it in Kiev. Are the ATMs using english language? In some countries there is a transaction fee taken by the home bank, which I believe will also apply to Kiev. However, are there any other fees for the local bank? Is it better to use ATMs of any specific bank?

Lots of quastions, but please help me.

ATMs are everywhere, up and down Khreschatyk Street and around, only bank charges I saw were for my own bank

Yes, there are ATMs with English-language options. For the fees and which Ukrainian bank's AMTs will charge you less - it's better to consult the bank which issued your VISA card. Once you know the Ukrainian bank's name, it's easy to find its ATMs on the web site.

Almost all ATMs are available in English. AS for the fees check your bank . They have to tell you these peculiarities and as far as I know there"s no special fee in local banks.

To be frank , liveing and working in Kiev sometimes let me become tired and I go to the village complex Pirogovo ( special busses goes from metro Lybedskaya)to stay on the nature far away from crowds and noise. In summer time in Pirogovo they have fairs with people selling handmade things,so if you need to made a present from Ukrain this is one of the places you can do it.

Tryokhsvyatytels’ka Street

by OlenaKyiv

It is the nice street which is going from European square up to the hill to the Mikhaylovskaya Square. I love this street because it is quiet, close to the park of Vovodymyr’s Hill and you can find Catholic church. But you must be in good physical shape to go up :-)
