"Slavutich" ("Great River") Beer

*** Tasting Kiev beer.
The picture was taken at a bar of "Slavutich' brewery, a very popular beer sort that makes you forget your problems, for a while at least.
*** Attending a concert of modern pop/rock music.
There are lots of big boards in the city and advertisements near Ukraina music hall where you can choose a concert or a show. This ad invites you to a concert of a famous Russian pop star Valery Leontyev who used to live in Luhansk, too.
What I like most about Kyiv is...

What I like most about Kyiv is its nice athosphere. For a large city it is relatively easy to find your way around, with the pivotal centre being the main street, 'Kryshatyk'. A wonderful place to stroll on weekends, when cars are banned on this street. Sitting on Kreshatyk street a warm summer day, drinking ice cold 'Slavutich' beer and just watch the people.

Three Polian princes Kiy, Stchek and Horiw together with their syster Lybid came to the hills over Slavutich (ancient name of Dnipro) and the oldest brother Kiy said : "Here the splendid city will stay". Here is the monument to Kiy, Stchek, Horiw and their syster Lybid on the Dnipro bank. They are in a boat by which they came to our lands. (picture is dopwnloaded)
This is the favourite place for making photoes of the school graduating and wedding ceremonies.

From the railway terminal, take marshrutka 480 - it will take you directly to the hotel. The stop you need is just past the Paton bridge. Levoberezhnaya is not close to the hotel, there is no subway station nearby. You need to exit the terminal from the "old" side, not from the new "southern" side.
From the airport, buses run frequently. You need the ones going through Leningradskaya square. These buses may be going directly to the hotel, but even if they don't, there are just 4-5 bus/marshrutka stops between the square and the hotel.
Good luck!
