Spain Square: On the Outskirts

Spain Square is located on the territory of the hotel compound of the aluminum factory called Intersplav.
It was called so because the enterprise is a Spanish-Ukrainian joint venture.
If you want to stay at one of its cottages,
you can call Victor Ivanovich at the factory
asking for a reservation at that hotel located on the outskirts

Unique Quality: Uptown location, the woods and ponds are nearby.

Engels Street: State Hotel

Such rooms are available at the city state hotel that occupies the second floor of the nine-storey apartment house located to the right of Ukraine department store at 34 Engels Street.
These are usual hotel rooms I remember from the Soviet times. The rooms have a refrigerator, a TV set, but the bathroom is on the floor, which is not a problem for us, locals.
I would say it is the cheapest hotel I have ever seen in Ukraine.

Archades: Central Hotel

This is the only private hotel in the city. It is called Gostiny Dvor in Russian.
It has decent rooms: two suites and several other rooms with all modern conveniences. Both suites consist of two rooms and would cost you
$30 ( a bigger one)
and $20 ( a smaller one) a day.
There is also a cafe that opens at 8 a.m. where you can have breakfast.
The hotel is located at the entrance to the central market where you can all the shopping you need.
The taxi stand is at the hotel entrance, round the corner.
The taxi ride about the city is $6-7 and hour.

Unique Quality: Proximity to all the main sites and the central market with the bus stop.
