Dnister Hotel

The hotel is nice and is in nice area near the park. The rooms and bath rooms are of good standard. The breakfest at the hotel is basic so i only eat their once. Had a little problem with staff at reception as their use of English language is very poor and didn't seem to helpful.

Renovated Soviet hotel

I stayed there 3 nights in 1998 (in the non-renovated part) and I found it overpriced. The breakfast is OK.

Unique Quality: The great advantage of the hotel is its siuation at the upper end of the park which stretches down to the university where the center begins. The upper floors offer a great view over the city.

  • Opinion of Price: more expensive than average

Upmarket Soviet

A slightly renovated Soviet hotel - the best and most expensive of the Soviet hotels in Lviv. Very attracticvely situated at the upper end of the Ivan Franko Park (former Jesuits garden), at the lower end of this park is the main University building, all around the hotel a typical turn-of-the-century Austrian neighbourhood, partly still painted in "Schönbrunner Gelb"

Unique Quality: All usual services of a big hotel available.

Accommodations in Lviv

by Runway

I was in Lviv very briefly last year and I will be returning to Lviv for a longer stay this summer/autumn. Can anyone recommend decent accommodations in Lviv other than "Hotel George" or "Hotel Lviv?" Has anyone stayed at another hotel in Lviv or rented an apartment in Lviv? Basically, i'm hoping to find a place that is cheaper than "Hotel George" and cleaner than "Hotel Lviv." I appreciate all suggestions. Thanks.

I stayed in the hotel below which was really quite nice. I booked it through expedia.com and I've always found that site really good for places to stay.
Hope that is of use
