Slightly expensive but excellent
I stayed three nights in October, 2008. I had a double room for myself since I did not make any reservation beforehand. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and the staff became more and more friendly as the days went by. It is centrally located and very convenient for all the sight-seeing I did in Lviv.

Grand Hotel
Stayed one night in mid May. Cost 140 euros for the two of us. Very nice room and hotel, all the frills including complementary chamaigne. Well worth it by western European standards but a bit more expensive than other first line hotels in Lviv.
Unique Quality: Good location downtown. Excellent staff.

Grand Hotel
This is the only Western-standard four-star hotel in the city. I had no experiance of staying at this hotel but, as I wondered how I could see I had a tour inside and I had opportunity to see two rooms. They were really nice and new but I found rooms rather small what is probably the only bad thing about them. Staff is English speaking and credit cards are accepted.

My friend Christian stayed at this beautiful high end hotel.
Unique Quality: This downtown hotel seems to have everything you might need.
The building itself is superb, with lots of facilities and friendly staff.

A genuine 4* hotel in Ukraine
This is a beautifully restored hotel which is trying very hard to be "World Class". Service is outstanding; prompt, efficient and friendly. The rooms are comfortable in a genteel English style. The staff is multi-lingual including English. There is a very good restaurant as well as a small bar. Prices are high for Ukraine (a double is just under $100/night), but an amazing value when compared to Europe as a whole.
Unique Quality: In the heart of the city, close to everything.
