Pelican Tour: A peaceful resort on the Danube shores
Service is basic, breakfast must be asked for. Dinner and lunch....must be arranged previously, at least when we were there and that was not in the peak season. No one speaks English, but some people have a basic understanding.
Unique Quality: Extremely peaceful: well, you must not rent the bungalow just beside the ducks as it happens to the author of LP ;) so that you will just listen to the frogs and toads concerto. Large outdoor area, genial basis for fishing in the delta, floating terraces on the Danube where you may be served food.
The same people organise birdwatching tours in the delta: definitely worthwhile!!

A: "Vlkovo is a cool place but no border crossing, the only place it might happen is at Izmail, I went by privately owned boat several years ago to Tulcea. Enjoy!"
