Also I would recommend to rent an apartment instead of hotel room as the qulaity of Poltava hotels is not good and the price is really high.
I personally rented apartment from Internet Agency 'Welcome to Poltava'. They're nice guys and their apartments are gorgeous! Also the easiest way to get to Poltova from airport is to take a taxi. It will cost you no more that u.S.$100. Actually, their price is U.S.$ 130, but you can bargain.
