Bristol

There were plenty of higher end hotels in Yalta but the Hotel Bristol was perfect for our needs. We paid a little extra for a better room with a double bed, we got a spacious room with a queen bed. Breakfast was included with the rate, they had a buffet in the restaurant next door with hot items like blintzes, eggs and sausage plus cereal, pastries, fruit and yogurt.

We were very close to the sea but our room had a balcony looking out over the mountains. The location was good, not noisy at night, close enough to walk most places we needed to go.

We decided to book an airport transfer through the hotel as the Simferopol airport is quite a distance away, it was 450hr and worth every hr as public transport options are slow and require several changes. The car ride took about 1 1/4 hours.

Unique Quality: Room-amenities included a small refrigerator but no mini bar, a small TV, room safe and a double bed

Bathroom-shower, no tub, plenty of hot water, shampoo and bath gel and a hair dryer
