More about Bryn Bella Guest House

The Perfect Host

by TripAdvisor Member Coachksb

Coming from Australia we had no knowledge of accommodation in Wales,so as we had done in the past we called on the local tourist information office as we had found others very helpful. Their recommendation on this occassion was Bryn Bella a quick call and our booking was confirmed.
On our arrival we were met by the very affable proprietor Mark
who assisted us by carrying our cases to our rooms which was very much appreciated.
Entering the room we were amazed by the variety of appliances there for our convenience including a microwave very handy especially for young families.
We found the room neat ,clean and with a magnificent view across the valley.
The information provided by our host we found useful and the food at breakfast of a high standard. Following breakfast Mark helped us locate some friends in Newcastle on Tyne. After our departure Mark contacted our friends to advise we had left some articles in our room, A call to Mark enabled me to arrange postage to my daughter's place. The goods duly arrived and enabled us to continue our travels without loss of use of cameras phone etc . What more could you ask of a host?

Perfect hosts and lovely chickens!

Always a bit of a gamble when booking a B&B in a touristy area - there are often so many but a high proportion don't live up to their web/
brochure descriptions - well Bryn Bella for sure does! The very welcoming and hospitable hosts (Mark is part of the local mountain rescue team - you can't get better local terrain knowledge than that!) really have thought of everything in this comfortable B&B - from microwaves, mini-fridges and safe in the spacious and nicely decorated rooms to free internet use in the guest sitting room. NOT forgetting the excellent power showers and thoughtful assistance with boot/gear drying overnight - and yes it was needed! Lovely breakfast with the girls (feathered) at the top of the back garden providing the freshest of eggs. Nothing was too much trouble and even an extra (paying) guest who turned up for breakfast on a couple of mornings was happily accommodated. Great location too - only 10 mins walk max from the village centre. Highly recommended!

A really good place to stay

by TripAdvisor Member NewZealanderinL0nd0n

This is a really well run bed and breakfast. The location is great - just a short walk across the fields to the town centre - torches are provided for any late night crossings. The B&B itself has everything you could need - mini fridges in the rooms, along with a microwave, tea/coffee facilities, yummy biscuits, chocolates by the bed, a wine opener and wine glasses, bath robes, dvd player and the nicest power shower with such hight water pressure it's heaven after a long day braving the Welsh weather!

The hosts are helpful, and have no problem going out of their way to accommodate any requests. Joan was more than happy to set up the dining room late on a Saturday night after we returned with food from the village for a thrown together meal, note: every restaurant in the town was booked out so we were left with no option but to grab some food from a local mini market - so make sure you book in advance and head out early (kitchens close at around 9pm)- it's not London!

The breakfast is nice, with a good selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, cold meats and cheese - or a full cooked breakfast.

The house itself has a lot of character, with a million soft toys throughout of sheep, hedgehogs and various other funny characters.

Also, there is a car park for each guest room, so there is no fighting of parks like the other guest houses in the area.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

Bryn Bella is bella.

We have stayed at Bryn Bella twice now, and on each occasion we have been made to feel welcome by Mark and Joan. Our accommodation was excellent with a wonderful view over the valley. The decor was pleasant, and the room had everything you could ask for, even a microwave and small fridge. A larger fridge was available in the hall for bigger items. It is a small walk to the town crossing the river by a suspension bridge, which is a must for all visitors. There were wonderful views of the local birds at breakfast, as Mark and Joan have many bird feeders in the front garden. These attract many finches, blue *** and other small birds. We even managed to see a sparrow hawk and a spotted woodpecker. The food was excellent, and offered a wide choice to cater for every need. It is a short drive to the Snodonia mountain range, for those interested in walking up Snowdon. We would certainly recommend Bryn Bella and look forward to going there again.

Wonderful hospitality

by TripAdvisor Member Tikaani

We have just spent six days at Bryn Bella on a visit to Wales with our granddaughter from our home in Canada. Our hosts, Joan and Mark Edwards, could not have been more hospitable and helpful. The welcome was cheerful, the accommodation was very comfortable and well-equipped (loads of travel maps and brochures added to the convenience of planning trips) and the Welsh breakfast set us up well for each day's exploration. We chose to visit Bettws because it is such a beautiful part of the country for hiking, trail riding and touring by car - a little less rain would have helped! We can strongly recommend a visit to Joan and Mark, and we certainly hope the chance for us to do so will come again. Elaine and Peter Crabtree

Loved the place and the relaxed and helpful atmosphere.

Bryn Bella Guest House is situated in the most beautiful village in Snowdonia. The view from the guest house is fantastic. It's like living amongst trees and clouds with the different birds. It's only 5 minutes walk to the shops. It's a very clean guest house, the breakfast is great and it has a welcoming feeling.

I already told my parents to go and stay there for their holiday in Wales.

Easy Going

Great Place to stay really clean and tidy with a good level of comfort.
Mark was really helpful in giving us info on our first walk up Snowdon

We were shown our room and the facilities that were available and then left to our own devices but we were sure that if we needed anything we only had to ring the bell.

Very relaxing and informal accomodation

Spot on
