The Bridge of Orchy Hotel: Amazing food and wine in welcoming bar

Amidst stunning scenery, between Loch Lomond and Glencoe, this hotel is a marvellous, welcoming place.
We dripped into the bar ('Walkers Welcome') on a truly awful rainy day. We certainly didn't expect a superb menu (garlic flatbread with parma ham, anyone?), cask ales and a good selection of interesting wines by the glass.
The bar food comes from the same menu as the restaurant, which has 2 AA rosettes.
If you're walking the West Higland Way, it's one of Travel-Lite's drop-off points, and you have the choice of the main hotel at £85 a night for 2 (including full breakfast), or the bunkhouse at £10 each and another £3 each if you hire linen.

Amazing mountain scenery, by the River Orchy, with great food and good wine and beer. Perfect!
