Bowood Actually
We were trying to find Bowood House by following the signs when we turned off the M4, and came into the Calne area. The house itself, though not in Calne is not too far away. It was closed but we stopped to take a photo of some quaint houses and for refreshment at an attractive building called Lansdowne Arms. It faces the entrance to Bowood Golf Course and Spa.
We then looked to see if there were any other interesting places in the area, so when we realised that Avebury and Silbury hill were not too far away, off we went
