The Gables: Nearby the canal

The stay was perfect as the B&B owners gave us a proper welcoming and make us feel very comfy. They recommended us some places to go for dinner and around so we took our chance with no regrets.

The B&B is sited in the main road so not difficult to find it. Has all the accommodations and the room was fairly big and well fitted. We stayed just for one night and was very good, even more the full English breakfast we enjoyed a lot.

I highly recommend this B&B on your travels around Wiltshire :)

Unique Quality: Big and comfortable beds and fitted rooms with amenities and coffee & tea facilities.
A nice proper English style living room where the breakfasts are served.
Near to the canal which is beautiful for a stroll.

Court Hill Farm: Wiltshire's best kept secret

Since i stay here every time i go home then I am not qualified to give an unbiased opinion! However I will say that if like the idea of staying in someones extreamly welcoming home then you will not be disapointed! there are always colourful characters dropping in to see Robin and Sarah, you might even catch my brother and I dropping by for supper (although less likely me now I'm in Asia)!
Your bed will be made daily as you would expect and a breakfast of cereals, yogurts, fruit and/or cooked bfast with the family or on your own will be laid out for you in the morning.

I always love returning here and I hope that if any of you are traveling down this way and you need a pit stop for the night you might give Court Hill a try.

Unique Quality: This is a family home and as such you will find it quite unlike anywhere else you have ever stayed.
if you like the idea of staying as a guest in someone's home then this is the place for you. If you want a hostel/regular b&b then you won't like it here!
If you have dogs then most of the time they are welcome to stay - but not in the bedrooms. There is a dog room where the families four dogs stay.
There are no tv's, kettles etc in the bed rooms but you are able to make coffee/tea in the kitchen.
The bedrooms are all very indervidual with personal touch's as the families children keep their rooms for when they come home from their travels.
Sarah and Robin are very hospitable and enjoy getting to know their guests whom I have heard have a habit of returning!
What also add's to the uniquness of your stay is the fact that for a very small amount of money Sarah will provide you with a picnic lunch and if you are stuck for dinner you are invited to stay for a three course 'pot luck' dinner - againmuch better value than any resturant!!

Sign of the Angel hotel: Hidden treasure

I stayed here for two nights in 2003. The hotel staff were lovely and looked after us very well. Our room was in a cottage at the back of the garden, to reach it you walked over a tiny bridge under which was a stream full of ducks and geease.
The hotel is a 3* so expect to carry your own luggage! The bathroom had a bathtub with shower attachment, a sink and a loo. Our room wasn't a four poster bed but instead two single beds converted into a double.
The are only 12rooms and the rest had been booked by an American family.

Unique Quality: The hotel and village that is based in is owned by the National Trust so it has an enormous amount of character.
You are in the centre of a village which has tiny houses - I don't think many tall people live here!!
The resturant is very well known and many locals travel to it - i wasn't disapointed by the food or the service - yummy!
