Village Green Hotel: Cosy hotel near Rugby
We booked our room for two nights based on their website - it looked great. We were not disappointed!
We booked a weekend special (which made it slightly cheaper at £119 for 2 nights for 2 people based on b&b) and were pleased to find we had been put in a four poster room. It had all the usual freebies and the use of dressing gowns which was a nice cosy feature.
The decor of the hotel was fresh and themed which was a nice touch - and everything matched.
The hotel has no bar or restuarant and is b&b only (breakfast was as you would expect) but there are plenty of pubs and restuarants in Dunchurch where you can eat.
Staff - very pleasant and helpful.
Would we recommend - yes definitely!
Unique Quality: Added bonus was the room where guests could go to chill out. It was a large room consisting of tv (with sky inc. movies), sofas and coffee table, an honesty fridge (pay at reception) with soft drinks and a full size snoooker table! The only down side to this room was there were bedrooms above it so out of respect for those guests you felt the need to keep the noise down. However, we enjoyed spending time there.
