reliable...
Typical budget chain place.
Its probably the least attractive of the budget chains - I prefer Holiday Inn Express or Ibis - but they haven't reached Elgin yet. Good value for money. You know what you will get, and in Scotland standards can vary a lot.
On my last visit (October 08) I discovered that they have extended the hotel block, and its worth trying to get a room in the new bit as they are much smarter.
Unique Quality: Big Scottish breakfast (at least 90% saturated fat) in pub/restaurant attached to hotel. The breakfast is one point where PTI wins over HIE - HIE includes breakfast in price, and its not very good. PTI makes it optional, and its good!
You can eat lunch and dinner in the pub/restaurant as well - not very inspiring food, but the kind of place the kids like...
There's a MacDonalds next door, so you have a choice for food without driving anywhere. You're only 2 minutes from the town centre anyway.
