Village Watford Elstree

We stayed in this hotel to celebrate a family event, which was fabulous. As for the hotel itself: it is nice and modern, only opened in 2008. The modern design is elegant and in good taste.
Our room was convenient. The fitness center is good and well equipped. There are rooms for the handicapped. There is ample parking outside.

A few problems we encountered:
The light in the room was inadequate. We had to grope for our clothes in the suitcase, because we couldn't see its contents properly.
Due to some computer problem we received only one room key-card, which was the hotel's emergency card.
We asked the reception staff to check a couple of things for us on the internet. One staff member replied that he was sorry but the staff themselves had only limited access to the internet (?); another staff member tried to help but after ten minutes told us that she couldnt get Google on the internet!

Directions: The hotel is 1 mile from the Elstree and Borehamwood railway station.
