I'm visiting Bristol next week with a few friends and would really like recomendations for a night out. It will be a Thursday night and I know the students aren't back but preferably we would like somewhere young and with a dance floor. Any suggestions?
Hi! Even in summer you shouldn't have too much trouble finding somewhere to go. If you like late night music bars with dance floors then either Park St or Corn St would be a good bet. Alternatively, if you prefer a club environment then the Academy on Frogmore St is probably the best bet. Not sure what they have going on there on a thurs at the mo, but you could ckeck out

Bristol Rovers were founded in 1883 as the Black Arabs F.C. before becoming the Eastville Rovers and Bristol Eastville Rovers until finally changing its name to Bristol Rovers in 1898.
Bristol Rovers play all their home games at The Memorial Stadium in Horfield, a ground that they currently share with Bristol Rugby Club. The club moved to The Memorial Stadium at the start of the 1996-97 season originally as tenants but bought the ground two years later.

Top notch, if unorthodox, bakers in the wacky Gloucester Road. The queues outside in the mornings are testament to its excellence. There's always a basket with yesterday's bread at half price - it's worth rooting in when you're hard up, as some of the speciality breads are all the better for keeping a day. The sundried tomato bread is the stuff on which dreams are made.

We've been welcomed by a smiling and kind waiter who found a table for us in the crowded restaurant. Even though in a typical British building, with a fireplace also, it is decorated with Aztec painting, sculptures and tapestry. The overall impression is very interesting. We ate A LOT (we couldn't even finish everything) and we paid 25£ per person, which is not little in Bristol, but it was really worthwhile. Ultimate Fajitas ( it's at least for two): the usual round box with warm fajitas and a wonderful hot mound of grilled stuff: vegetable, beef, chicken and prawns.
