Sit a While in Biddenham Village
by mazzap
At the beginning of one of the lovely village lanes where I live is this small seating area tucked away under a tree - I never see anyone sitting there, but one day I am going to sit on the bench for a while, just so I can say I did!!
Bedford

"Bedford, Home of John Bunyan"
Bedford is known as the home of John Bunyan (1628-1688), author of The Pilgrim's Progress. After serving in the Parliamentary army during the English Civil War, he became one of England's leading Puritan thinkers, writers, and preachers. However, the Restoration of the monarchy in 1660 also made the Church of England the only recognized church in the country. Non-conformists were imprisoned, including Bunyan. During this time, he authored his famous works.
Bedford is an attractive town on the banks of the River Great Ouse, in East Anglia. It has some excellent markets, and several historic churches.
