Good selection in numerous town-centre, suburban and local shops if you forget anything. If you use 35mm film, I recommend 400-speed in December and January, when the sunrise is typically after 8am & sunsets typically before 4pm. The weblink below gives a guide to the climate in Reading. The figures are from Oxford (26 miles away).
Flamboyant and Fabulous
by dejavu2gb about Bel & and Dragon
The food at Bel and the Dragon is not your normal pub food, its got a bit of a twist to it, making it quite upmarket with gorgeous presentation. The food is always tasty and the restaurant has a very good atmosphere.
I very much like the inside of the restaurant, its got a huge wine collection against the wall, and the artwork is all kind of cartoon based, a very tasteful restaurant with very good food, a definite reccomendation.
Its located outside one of the many canals that run through Reading, which is perfect for those nice summer afternoons, when you can sit outside and have your lunch next to the water. I had chicken skewers, which were presented beautifully, and the quality was very good, and the food was very tasty. We had desert which was of very good standard, as well as the few bottles of wine we consumed... hehehe hic...
Windsor is a most attractive...
by Geoff_Wright
Windsor is a most attractive as well as an historic town. Sir Christopher Wren, the famous architect who rebuilt St Paul's Cathedral after the Great Fire, lived here and was responsible for much of the architecture in the High Street area. His residence is one of the properties to be admired here.
Legoland theme park with lots to do for children, lego model village, rides, gold panning, car racing and lots more. The theme park has spectacular models made entirely from lego bricks one of the leading childrens toys. Allow between six and seven hours for your visit. There are daily shows.

"The Sleeping Giant - asleep since 1871"
What can I say? if you are born in Reading they tie an elastic band to your back. You can stretch it but the b*****d will always pull you back.
At least we're back in Division 1 and one day RFC will go on to win the premiereship and storm Europe on a glittering campaign of success. Yes you heard it hear first but keep it to yourself. We are quietly confident!
Here is a picture of the much acclaimed Mad House (Madejski stadium - pronounced mad-ay-ski) home of Reading Football club and London Irish egg ball chasers.
