They Don't Come Any Newer Than This!

This, along with its nieghbouring Novotel, is a brand spanking new hotel in the centre of town, with about 180 rooms over its 14 floors. Rooms are simple but sort of stylish with all the basics one expects from the Ibis brand. As with most hotels here in Reading it is mostly geared up for the business trade, which means that there are excellent weekend deals available - check out the website.

Reception is particularly helpful and friendly, though why they still need a handwritten check-in form even for online bookings I don't know!!

Unique Quality: All the usual Ibis bits are available including 24hr snack service, extended breakfast times, laundry and ironing. Internet access is available through a wired connection in room (slightly expensive!) or wi-fi in lobby. As a central hotel, a couple of minutes walk from the railway station, it's difficult to beat for value if you get a decent rate.
