Quite loud and overpriced
On the webpage the Royal Adelaide Hotel looks quite nice and so we booked in spite of the very royal price of 100 pounds for a double room. When we arrived, we did like the building, it is a nice Georgian house. However, the inside lacked some of the splendor the webpage, price and outside promised. The lobby and other rooms were quite nice, but not what I expected. Our room was absolutely tiny, the bathroom miniscule and here again, the furniture lacked the style we had expected. As it was a front room, the traffic noise kept us away most of the night. I am not saying it is not a good hotel, it is quite decent and maybe they have improved some things since 2001, but for the money we paid, it was not adequate.
