The impressive entrance opens onto a large lounge area off the foyer. There is a restaurant/function area, and an additional restaurant in a conservatory which opens onto a terrace at the rear for alfresco dining on those warmer days. There is also a cosy bar area. In addition, the hotel is also home to a popular Spa with plenty of treatments, along with a heated pool, sauna and steam room.
The rooms vary in size and some have scenic views over the valley. I was lucky enough to stay in one of the deluxe rooms, which had a massive bed and spa bath.
I can highly recommend a relaxed lunch in the conservatory, a stroll in the gardens and perhaps a drink on the terrace before dinner. This is stylish place for a romantic getaway - shame I was only there with my work colleagues!
