I lived here for a while when working in the neighbourhood. Not a place to be excited about. It is a custom built town on a grid pattern . It was intended to be a hub and was located equidistant from towns like Cambridge, Leicester and Birmingham.
Originally the highest building was to be no higher than a tree, but now in the centre some reach 14 storeys in height.
Cycleways, woodlands, lakes and canals were incorporated into the planning of Milton Keynes.
