Hotel Advise and Need Train Info
Hi All,
I found Sleeperz hotel from the website, and from the photo I think it's good and clean (and cheap too)Could anyone give me comment about this hotel ? Is it to noisy with train sound ? or maybe any other recommended hotel with easy transportation but affordable price (30-60 GBP)
I will arrive in Cambridge by train from London.
- What is the name of train station in Cambridge ?
- Is it the same as railway station next to Sleeperz hotel ?
- If I want to take train to Cambourne, is it the same railway station ?

We nearly stayed in Sleeperz and then decided on a B&B instead. Sleeperz is right next to the train station (nearly in it). I can't comment on the noise but I would guess it could be fairly noisy. You have to pass it when you leave the station so there would be crowds walking past every time a train arrived.
The B&Bs are not very cheap - we had trouble finding one for under £50 a night. We ended up staying in the Parkview Guesthouse, which was £55 a night and a 25 min walk to the town centre.
I believe there is only one train station in the town so I would presume you would go to Cambourne from there.

There's only one train station in Cambridge, and Sleeperz is right outside it. I dodn't know how noisy it gets; the train noise isn't too bad but you will have some noise from the taxi stand which isn't too far away.
There are no trains to Cambourne, only buses. The main bus station is some way from the train station; there are shuttle buses from the train station to the bus station.

the bus timetable for Cambourne can be found here:

It takes about 20 minutes from Cambridge bus station to Cambourne, in the morning there's a bus at 8am, then 8.45 and 9.15 and every half hour after that during the day...
You need to look for bus bay 3 in Cambridge Drummer St bus station, and the 14 or 14A bus.
