3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Quiet, cozy & afordable

Oakly Lodge, use to be very small & dingy, but few years back, the new owners, bought the adjasent house to the Lodge, and extended the B&B.
Now boast about 20 rooms, it is bright and comfortable, with nice bar where you can sit wach football & have a pint.
Majority of the guests are buisnes people, but few turists visit too.
It is a hidden jem, and as is littlebit out of the center, might be not convinient for the avarage traveler.
But it is a good find, spacilay in Cambridge where accomodation is expencive.
For example dubble room (2 persons) cost 60GBP per nite including brekfast.
You can reach the Lodge from town with buses 111 (goes to Newmarket) or #3 (local).
the first stops right a front of the loge and the second about 50-60meters down the road.
Near by are big Mc Donalds,Pharmacy & Spar shop.
Or if you are with car, folow the Newmarket road, the Lodge is situated on the top, before the big roundabound.
BTW Oakly lodge has 4 diamonds from the british tourist association, wich is equivalent of 4 stars for Hotels.

  • Opinion of Price: less expensive than average
