A B&B by any other name ...

The Lensfield Hotel, run by a friendly Indian family (or extended family?), calls itself a hotel, but it's really more like a pension. I never saw a double room, but the single rooms are quite small. Not bad though, and with more amenities than your average B&B (towel racks, for instance -- see Warkworth House review). Also, the single I was in had a bath; defintely a bonus after a long day at work or being a productive tourist.
One thing to note is that this is one of these small hotels where an eager eyed granny sits at the hotel desk ALL NIGHT LONG. So trying to sneak in an overnight (or even just a couple of hour) guest is not easy.
Aside from that, overall good place to stay, and excellent location. Be warned that its on a very busy road. You might want to request a room at the back.
