We booked two rooms here and one was much nicer than the other - it was bright & modern while the other though clear had clearly not been renovated in around 20 years. We asked for a newer room & were upgraded to an executive room (nice but not worth the extra money compared to the "standard" rooms which have been modernised).
Had problems when checking out - the rates we were charged were higher than those on the Holiday Inn website - be sure to keep your confirmation to show the rate you booked at.
Breakfast was nice with a good choice although at around £15 each it's expensive so try to get a rate for B&B.
Unique Quality: The hotel has a leisure centre and is just off the A55 with plenty of parking - you'll need transport to get to the city centre unless you're feeling energetic though as it's 2 miles from the city centre - the Holiday Inn Express at the racecourse is more central.
Directions: Just off the A55 - on the left handside as you head for Chester.
