    Well Located

    by

Part of the Premier Inn chain, as far as I’m concerned these hotels offer good value with the added bonus of having a steak house type pub attached or next door which alleviates the necessity of driving and not being able to partake in the occasional beer. The staff were extremely friendly and cheerful with the rooms up to the usual high standard.

Travel Tips for Chester

Comfortable flats essential!

by clareabee

ok make sure you have a bag that zips for starters - not that i would say Chester is a thieves hotspot but better to be safe than sorry! It always rains....when you least expect it so an umbrella is a must. You also need flat comfortable shoes. There are many cobbled streets in Chester and wearing heels is not a good idea...you may get away with wedges but stick to something comfortable and flat if I was you! you can get whatever you need here so don't worry if you forget anything! again can pretty much get what you want here.

Great Italian Food!

by Waoife about Zizzi

Large restuarant with Kitchens you can see from the dining area. Something to appeal to everyone - we were there on a Saturday night and the place was full with everyone from family groups to younger groups & couples at the start of a night out. All of the pasta is delicious. Don't know about the pizza although it looked pretty good too.

Blue Planet Aquarium

by Kaysta

It is by far the biggest Aquarium that i have been to! It was a great experience as i love sea life anyway, so it was a must see to go here and i'm glad i did.

It is very educational for both young and old! It taught me a thing or two! I had fun here, there was so much to see and do - you could easily spend a day just looking round it all. What i thought was most spectacular about it was the tunnel...it's the biggest in Europe and you can tell...the wank was huge! Which meant bigger sharks and more beautiful fish!

If your planning a trip to Chester than make sure this is on the agenda!

Eastgate Clock

by DrewV

The city of Chester has gone a marvelous job maintaining their city walls. In fact, they have constructed a walking path along the length of the walls, giving the traveller a perfect view of how the city has developed over time.

Eastgate was one of the primary points of entry into the city for centuries. Where the wall walk rises above the street stands a massive four-faced clock. This Eastgate Clock would be a major landmark in other towns, but compared with what Chester has to offer, it's just a nice adornment.

The Old Dee Bridge

by sandysmith

The Old Dee Bridge, comprising seven unequal arches and built- much as we see it today- about the year 1387, on the site of a succession of earlier wooden bridges and a pre-Roman fording place.
The bridge is mentioned as part of Chester's entry in the Doomsday Book:
