Lovely base for travels

I booked this accommodation not having read the reviews and i must say that i am glad that i did!! It is obvious that the new owners/managers have gone to great lengths to change up this place as our experience was not at all how the last few guests have described!!! The welcome was warm and friendly, even the locals joining us for a beer (well stocked cask ales). Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The bedding and towells were lovely and we had three great nights sleep. Although they only serve meals on a Friday (fish and chips are very popular in Great Barrow on a Friday!) the staff were happy to point us in the direction of other local eateries! We opted for the full cooked breakfast (2 sausage, 2 bacon, egg, mushys, beans, tomato & black pud) and were happy to see that it was also served with toast and jams, pot of tea and coffee and fresh orange juice!! Set us up for the day! We are coming back to Chester for some Christmas shopping so have already booked ourselves in for our next stay! HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED!"!!!
