Warrington
"Why Warrington"
Warrington is not a place people tend to choose to visit. There are better options around. Liverpool, Manchester, Chester, Knutsford etc.
But if you are here on Business or visiting Friends and Family then you will find with a little insight it is quite and interesting Historical Town with a lot to do and see. With the river Mersey, Manchester ship canal and Bridgewater canal running through the town then there is are lot of waterside walks. The history of the Town is worth looking into and could give your stay a little more interesting. There are parks around the town some of which are linear and make for nice walks. If you prefer a little more privacy then try some of the Nature reserves, Moore being one of the largest.
If pubs and Clubs are more your scene then we have a booming night life and lots of “OLD” pubs. When it comes to restaurants then it is wise to take advice of the locals. Some of the larger chain pubs and hotels are very poor.
One of the best things that you use Warrington for is a Central base for the area. It’s smack bang in between Liverpool and Manchester We have two main stations, both on main lines. It’s by the M6, M56 and M62. It’s an hour to the peak district or fabulous beaches at Ainsdale and Formby and a similar time for North Wales (Llangollen etc). 2 hours gets you to the Lakes and the best parts of Yorkshire. 4 hours and your in London or Scotland.

Walking day.
