Here are the names of the beaches at Bude.
Summerleaze Beach,:- features the breakwater Barrel Rock, lock gates into the canal, and the river Neet flows into the sea here. Lifeguard cover is provided from 1st May - 30th September. Car park, Cafe and Toilets.
Crooklets Beach :- Pebbly and rocky at the top, with a huge expanse of sand when the tide is out. Home to the Bude Surf Life Saving Clubhouse. Lifeguard cover is provided 18th May - 30th September.
Northcott Mouth - 3 miles North of Bude:- Pebbly at the top, expanse of sandy beach when the tide is out. Cliffs on both sides. It is owned by the National Trust with a car park halfway down the hill. No facilities. Lifeguard cover is provided from 7th July - 2nd September.
Sandymouth - 5 miles north of Bude. :-Owned by the National Trust. car park at top of cliff and walk down to the beach. Cafe and public toilets open during main summer season. Lifeguard cover provided from 7th July - 2nd September.
Duckpool - 6 miles north of Bude :- Swimming not recommended as it is a wild cove with dangerous currents and razor-sharp rocks. No Lifeguard cover is provided.

This photograph taken by the lock gates, shows the canal flowing along the beach to the sea. This was taken at low tide. The beach stretches a long way and is quite wide.
