From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome. Gwen who is the landlady of Goofys, kindly came to pick us up from the bus station. She runs the lodge with her husband Andy, and they both have a cute little boy who is 1 ½ and is such a darling. Goofys is about 5 minute walk from Fistral Beach, and just round the corner from the town centre.
There are four bedrooms each with keys which also operates the front door. Towels are supplied and en-suite bathrooms. We stayed in number three which has a colour TV, tea and making facilities; although the shower takes a bit of time to get used to it is powerful.. You share the kitchen which is nice, breakfast is supplied in cereal packets on the table, and bread in the bins, which you can, do toast. You can watch Sky in the living room until 10.am; the kitchen is locked up at this time too. You can also check your e-mails, the pc is under the stairs.
On the notice board there’s information about things to do, although you will receive a visitors pack when you first arrive.
Unique Quality: There's a table out front, but I have heard that the next door neighbour get's a bit funny. Both Gwen and Andy are such a lovely couple.
Directions: From the bus station go down into the main street and up towards a pub called the red Rover. Follow the signs to Fistral Beach and Goofys is the second house of a row of detached on your left-hand side.
